堪城现代中文学校第五届朗诵比赛暨春节联欢会主持人选拔赛通知
为鼓励学生们学中文、说中文、爱中文，堪城现代中文学校即将举第五届朗诵比赛， 2021年春节联欢会主持人选拔赛也将同步举行。不同于以往几届比赛，由于疫情的限制此次将全部在网上进行。
此次活动分为两部分，学前班至3年级为朗读比赛，4年级以上则参加2021学校春节联欢会的主持人选拔赛（2021春节联欢会也将是网络形式）。在比赛中胜出的2名男生和2名女生将可以成为2021春节联欢会节目主持人。详细规程如下：
比赛时间：12月13日（周日）2pm－4:00pm
比赛地点：ZOOM（朗诵比赛和主持人选拔赛在不同的zoom会场同时分别举行）
报名：微信、Email 班级老师，或email zhongwenlx@gmail.com, 报名截止日期11月30日！
*朗诵比赛参赛对象：中文学校学前班-3年级学生
朗诵比赛内容：自由选题, 形式不限，可朗诵诗歌、散文、绕口令，也可讲故事、说笑话。时长45秒至2分钟之内。
评分准则：
1、普通话标准（30分）
2、声情并茂，富有感染力和表现力（20分）
3、声音洪亮，吐字清晰（20分）
4、仪态大方，举止得体（20分）
5、内容难度及时间控制 （10分）
奖励：按分数评出一等奖一名，二等奖两名，三等奖三名。其余参赛者将获得鼓励奖。
*主持人选拔参赛对象：报名参加主持人选举的中文学校学生（4年级及以上）
比赛内容：
1、自选学过的一篇课文进行朗读（时间限定在一分钟内）
2、自我介绍环节（需脱稿，时间限定在一分钟内）
3、提问环节（抽签选取问题，问题由比赛主持人宣读，参赛选手自行作答）
4. 才艺展示环节: 时长不得超过两分钟，形式自由无限制，主要是展示口才和演艺才能. （附加选项，额外加分10分）
评分准则：
1、普通话标准（30分）；
2、语速恰当，表达流利（20分）
3、声音洪亮，吐字清晰（20分）
4、仪态大方，举止得体（20分）
5、即兴回答问题表现从容、内容精彩（10分）
奖励：得分最高的男女生各两名将胜出为2021年春节联欢会主持人，其余参赛者将获得鼓励奖。
评委及评选方式：
1、两个比赛组各设评委5人（校长、两位教师代表、两位家长代表），
2、满分100分，分高者获胜；
3、由家长代表现场计分；
4、由主持人现场提醒超时；
5、如果选手成绩相同，将由评委协商作出最后决定。
6、学校将报名截止日根据报名人数决定是否安排初选赛

The Kansas City Institute of Chinese Language & Culture is planning for the 2021 Chinese New Year Celebration. In searching for the event MCs, we will conduct our fifth Chinese reading contest. The winners of the contest (two boys and two girls) will be the MCs of the 2021 Chinese New Year Cloud Celebration. Due to covid-19, the event will be held online via Zoom.
Please note, students from 1st grade thru 3rd grade will be participating in the reading contest only. Winners from the students from 4th grade and above will be selected as the celebration MCs (2 boys and 2 girls). Every participant will receive a prize
Date & Time: 2PM-4PM Sunday, December 13, 2020
Location: Zoom

Reading Contest (1st grade to 3rd grade)
Participating students self select a short article or poem, tongue twister, or joke. There will be First, second and third place. All participants will receive an honor prize. Time is limited to 45 seconds to 2 mins.
Scoring:
1. Mandarin pronunciation (30 Pts)
2. Emotion, passion, dynamic (20 Pts)
3. Voice loudness (20 pts)
4. Appearance, manner (20 pts)
5. Performance and time control (10 pts)
MC Contest: (4th Grade and above)
- Reading (The student is free to select a short article from their text books and read out on the stage. Time limit is 1 minute)
- Self-Introduction (Free talk without script, time limit is 1 minute)
- Questions and Answers (questions will be randomly drawn from the question list, and the contest host will read out the question. The student shall answer the question in front of the judges)
- Extra credit (10 points): Talent show, such as singing or tongue twist, etc.
Scoring:
1、Mandarin pronunciation（30 PTs）
2、Speech fluency（20 PTs）
3、Voice loudness and clearness（20 PTs）
4、Stage behavior and manner（20 PTs）
5、Answer question calmly and wisely（10 PTs）
Judges:
- The judge committee has five members which consists of the school principal, two teachers and two parents.
- The total score is 100 points. The higher score wins.
- The scores will be tallied by parents delegates on site.
- Timer will be used and monitored by the parent delegates.
- When scores tie, the judge committee will make the final decision.
All parents are welcome to come and watch(on ZOOM)! We are also welcome parents (only if your child is not one of the contestants) to join the judge committee. The first two applied will be selected! Please call 913 223 8761 to be a judge!
